Sensei Daniel Ruocco

Dr. Daniel Ruocco is the Chief Instructor and founder of the International Martial Arts Academy Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sensei Daniel started training in martial arts in Italy when he was 6 years old and currently holds the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt in Multi-Style System (Judo - Jujitsu - Kick Boxing), 3rd Degree Black Belt in Kodokan Judo, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Jujitsu with Jujitsu America, and holds rank in Karate, Kick Boxing, Ashiara Karate, Kenpo, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, Bushido Ryu Self Defense Ju-jitsu. He was also a Lieutenant and fight instructor in the Italian army and currently certified instructor in Police Tactics Instructors of America.

In 1999, Sensei Daniel received a Doctorate in Physical Education with elements of physiology, child education, anatomy and biology, he also has written a thesis in “Spine Malformations in the Developmental Years”. During his studies in the University of Naples, he had the honor to train for three years with Olympic Judo Gold Medalist Giuseppe Maddaloni and with Tae Kwon Do World Champion Geremia Di Costanzo (the first non-Korean to win the world championship).

Sensei Ruocco Daniel was honored with “Instructor of the year 2007” & “Police Tactics Instructor of the year 2006”by the “Hall of Fame Martial Arts”. In May 2008 Sensei Ruocco had the great honor to train at the Kodokan Judo Institute in Tokyo, Japan. Also in July 2008 he has been certified Jujitsu America Instructor and JA Sport Jujitsu Referee.
