IV. Membership Forms

A. Dojo Membership

Dojo Membership is offered to schools that wish to join as a group. The minimum requirement is 10 registered students in order to qualify for Dojo Membership. Dojo members are welcomed to participate in all organization meetings, events, and training, receive the regular communications and Board Meeting minutes, and also ranking is offered to Dojo Members through the Head Instructor of the dojo. The normal process is that upon joining, the new dojo members come in under a one-year probationary status. During this year, the new dojo members are encouraged to participate regularly in organizational functions and training, so that the JUJITSU AMERICA Standards Board can evaluate the instruction, skill level, and experience of the Head Instructor. After the one-year probationary period, then the Head Instructor may apply for ranking. The JUJITSU AMERICA Standards Board would then provide appropriate ranking within the organization. Of course, each group or organization has its own standards for ranking, and JUJITSU AMERICA has its own high standards. So, while JUJITSU AMERICA will recognize the ranking a person may have from another organization, it won't necessarily match that ranking within JUJITSU AMERICA, because that may not be appropriate based on the standards of JUJITSU AMERICA. In addition, Instructor Certification is also available to qualifying Instructors.

If you are applying for Dojo Membership, please complete the Dojo Information Form along with the Registration Information Form for each member you wish to register. A minimum of 10 registered members are required in order to qualify for dojo membership. Ranking from JUJITSU AMERICA is only offered to Dojo Members through the Chief Instructor of Member Dojos.

All Dojo Chief Instructors, please attach a biography of your martial arts history and attach copies of your rank certificates. This information is vital to our record keeping and will provide the Board Members of JUJITSU AMERICA with this important background information on your application.

Dojo Membership Checklist:

If you are applying for Individual Membership, please complete the Individual Membership Form.

All applicants for Individual Membership, please attach a biography of your martial arts history and attach copies of your rank certificates. D. Affiliate Group Membership

The JUJITSU AMERICA Affiliate Group Membership Program is offered to any existing organization that wishes to join as a group member with JUJITSU AMERICA, but for whom normal Dojo Membership wouldn’t work as a feasible option.
