Kata & Freestyle Self-Defense Tournament
Jujitsu America proudly presents the JA Annual Convention,
JA Sport Jujitsu US National Championship Tournament, and Kata
& Freestyle Self-Defense US National Championship Tournament
on September 18-20, 2009, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster
City, California, and welcomes all participants! Were looking
forward to seeing all our current members and instructors, and
hope to see many old and new friends interested in training, competing,
and the camaraderie of the event!
The event venue is located nearby to the San Francisco International
Airport, with free shuttle service between the airport and hotel.
Convention festivities include:
- Two Days of Training Clinics with 24 Top Instructors
- Training Clinics feature several Jujitsu styles, Judo, Hapkido,
Kenpo, Escrima, Aikido, and a separate Restoration Massage Therapy
track
- JA Sport Jujitsu US National Championship Tournament

Tournament will begin at 10:00am with the Juniors Divisions, with the Intermediates
& Adults Divisions beginning as soon as Competition Area allows. We will complete
the Juniors Divisions first and finish with Adults Divisions. Medals will be presented
for each division separately after the respective division is completed. The Tournament
should conclude by 5:00pm. |
PLEASE
NOTE: All Sport Jujitsu competitors are required to wear: - Approved
padded vinyl sparring gear (open-finger gloves and foot-pads) - Mouthpiece -
Groin protector (for males) - Headgear is Mandatory for Children 14 and under.
Headgear is Optional for Adults. Other Optional Equipment includes
(all must be worn inside the uniform): - Soft shin pads - Knee pads -
Elbow pads - Forearm pads - Soft chest protector For more

participants choose from 4 topics per session and participate regardless of experience

JUJITSU AMERICA ANNUAL CONVENTION
The
dates are set. Convention will be August 13, 14 & 15 at the Phila. Airport
Ramada Inn @ 800-272-6232 ask for the Philadelphia Airport Ramada. Rooms are to
be $79.00 per night.
Event cost:
$150.00 for JA members,
early Registration, $180.00 for non members, children will be half price.
It's
near the airport, about 15 minutes from Center City and 30 minutes from Valley
Forge. Sensei Robinson has graciously offered to arrange a group tour of Philadelphia's
historic sites on Sunday afternoon and evening if there is sufficient interest.
He also suggests visiting historic Valley Forge and Amish country in Lancaster,
PA. Also, Sensei Robinson will be presenting a clinic on Tameshigiri (sword cutting
practice) on Mon., Aug. 16. Any convention participants are welcome to stay and
join in this training.
